Following negotiations with tenant volunteers across the area a Tenant Compact for tenants in Sheltered Housing has been agreed. It seeks to:

Involve tenants in developing initiatives to improve the Sheltered Housing service.

Involve tenants in monitoring performance.

Build on and improve relationships between tenants, Wardens and the local housing management teams.
The Compact covers the following services:

Environmental Issues
- Improvements to Homes
- Lettings and Empty Properties
- Repairs
- Warden Services
Quarterly reports on performance in these areas will be given to the Compact Board, a group of volunteer tenants.
The Compact was
signed on 19 December 2007 by the Chair of the Board of West North West Homes Leeds, Councillor Barry Anderson, and Dolores Townsend, Chair of the Compact Board.
