We have recently surveyed our tenant’s on how they felt about the various opportunities available to get involved with West North West homes Leeds. There were two surveys: one to tenants who are already involved in one of our groups or activities; and a separate survey to tenants who are not.
86 of our involved customers responded and some highlights from their feedback were that 86% were satisfied with their opportunities to become involved, with one customer commenting “I feel that residents have more chances to get involved than ever”. 69% were also satisfied with their opportunities to influence management and decision making which is an 11% improvement from the same survey in July. In fact satisfaction in all areas has increased since July 2011 which is excellent news.
Results from our uninvolved customers also showed some good news. We had 205 responses, with 72% of customers satisfied that WNWhL keeps them informed of things that affect them as a tenant. However, only 48% of customers asked were satisfied with the various opportunities to get involved. Feedback also showed that our tenants under the age of 34 were generally less satisfied than those 35 and over.
As a result of your feedback WNWhL aim to do the following:
- Publicise all the different ways for customers to get involved, especially focusing on our younger customers.
- Continue to develop our IMPACT newsletter which shows exactly how customers’ views have been taking into account and the difference they are making.
- Look at shaping our involvement activities to address the main reasons why uninvolved customers stated they couldn’t participate.
We are really proud of the positive feedback we have received and are determined to improve the success of our involvement activities even further in the future.
