A Tenant Compact for tenants in sheltered housing in the West North West homes Leeds area, negotiated with tenant volunteers, is in place. It seeks to:
- involve tenants in developing initiatives to improve the sheltered housing service:
- involve tenants in monitoring performance;
- build on, and improve, relationships between tenants, wardens and the local neighbourhood housing management teams.
The Compact covers the following services:
- environmental issues
- improvements to homes
- lettings and empty properties
- repairs
- warden services
Quarterly reports on performance in these areas will be given to the Sheltered Housing Forum, a group of volunteer tenants who meet quarterly.
The Compact was originally signed on 19 December 2007 by the then Chair of the Board of West North West homes Leeds, Councillor Barry Anderson, and Dolores Townsend, Chair of the Compact Board.
The Compact is reviewed every year.
