What are they?
West North West Homes is seeking to involve our tenants and leaseholders in our decision making. To help in this at a local level we are setting up four Area Panels.
Each Panel will have a budget for:
- Support for tenant groups;
- Support for community groups;
- Local environmental schemes;
- Local community safety projects.
Each Area Panel will also review our performance, encourage wider community development and promote open and accessible services to reflect the needs of all our customers.
The membership of Area Panels will consist of nine people: six tenants or leaseholders, two local Councillors and one member of the Board of West North West Homes Leeds.
Who do we want to join us?
There are a total of twenty four places for tenant and leaseholders on the Area Panels.
There are four panels covering the following areas, defined by Leeds City Council Wards:
Inner North West (Headingley, Hyde Park & Woodhouse, Kirkstall and Weetwood);
Inner West (Armley and Bramley & Stanningley);
Outer North West (Adel & Wharfedale, Guiseley & Rawdon, Horsforth and Otley & Yeadon);
Outer West (Calverley & Farsley, Farnley & Wortley and Pudsey).
Each Panel will have three tenants or leaseholders who do not live in an area covered by a tenants and residents association or an Area Representative and three places for tenant and leaseholders who do live in an area covered by a tenants and residents association or an Area Representative.
How do I register my interest?
If you would like to nominate yourself as an Area Panel member then please complete the application form attached. If you would like any help or a chat about what being on the panel involves please contact the Business Involvement Team on 0113 214 3676.
We would like interested people to send us their completed application form by Friday 8 June 2007.
